I love this house. It’s the old manor house of a large estate in the very north of Germany, close to the Danish border and the Baltic sea. It stands solitary in a park of ancient trees, surrounded by a moat. On the other side of the moat lie the immense fields of the estate. It has been standing there for more than 400 years.
This is the gigantic cobbled square in front of the church in the middle of the little Andean town called Villa de Leyva. It makes an awesome weekend-trip from Bogotá, with its mild climate, colonial architecture, and beautiful surroundings. Check out my previous post about it here.
