Weekly Photo Challenge: Mine

I’ve never owned a horse. Nor will I own one in the near future.  As I’m living in the city at the moment, it’s just way too expensive. But I have been riding horses my whole life, and at least twice a week I need to escape the city and go riding. Those precious hours are mine. They belong to me and I could never live without them. Everything just vanishes when I sit on the horse, all the little problems of my everyday life that normally torment my brain in every waking hour. Those are the happiest and most peaceful hours of my week.  Mine.

Obviously, this photo wasn’t taken by me. Credits go to my friend and fellow rider, M.
